A must-have for jawline care in your 30s lol. A candid, honest review of the InMode lifting treatment I bought with my own money.
As I entered my 30s, the things that bothered me most whenever I looked in the mirror were my sagging jawline and deepening nasolabial folds. In the past, even when I gained weight, my face would slim down quickly, but now, perhaps due to the full effects of gravity, fat accumulates under my chin and skin elasticity has dropped, making my facial lines look dull overall, which was really stressful. So, after doing some extensive research, I decided that laser lifting would be more effective than contouring injections, so I visited a dermatology clinic and got an InMode treatment. To start with the conclusion, it was a satisfying experience that instantly made me understand why everyone gets it done regularly.
I received a full-face treatment utilizing both InMode FX and Forma modes. The consultation manager examined my face shape and recommended combining the two, noting that I had some fat in my cheeks and double chin, as well as a general lack of elasticity, suggesting that doing so would create great synergy. We started with the Forma mode, which works by delivering high-frequency energy to the dermis to stimulate collagen production. As they applied a warm gel and massaged my face with the machine, I felt a pleasant sensation of heat, much like a warm stone massage. There was absolutely no pain; in fact, it was so comfortable that I actually felt myself drifting off to sleep. It felt like the surface of my skin was being tightly ironed out.
The problem was the next step, the FX mode, haha. This is designed to destroy unnecessary fat cells; the machine sucks the skin in strongly like a vacuum cleaner, then shoots out a tingling high-frequency current and heat. The director focused on the areas with excess fat, such as my double chin and deep cheeks. The suction pressure was quite strong, and when the electricity tingled at the end, I felt both heat and stinging at the same time, so I found myself clenching my fists tightly without even realizing it. Still, I endured it, telling myself that I had to put up with this much pain to become beautiful. Immediately after the procedure, I had quite severe red bruising around my chin and neck due to the suction marks.
They say bruising varies from person to person, but mine lasted for about five days, so I had to cover it up with a scarf or concealer. However, after about two weeks, a whole new world opened up. The texture of my skin felt completely different to the touch when I washed my face in the morning, and most importantly, I could visibly see my dull jawline tighten up and my V-line come alive. My facial contours have become so sharp that people around me even asked if I had lost weight, making it a joy to look in the mirror again, haha. Of course, it isn't permanent, so I'll have to endure the pain again in a few months, but for the time being, I plan to work hard on home care to maintain this firmness. If you are worried about a double chin or sagging skin like me, I highly recommend InMode!
