Review of my first dermatology procedure! I kept putting it off because I was scared... but now that I've had it done, I wonder why I even hesitated.

I've always been interested in dermatological procedures, but it seems like it took a long time for me to actually get them done.
My friends around me are getting treatments one by one, but I've been putting it off, thinking, "It'll be fine for now."
But at some point, taking photos started feeling so different from before.
My skin looks lifeless, and there have been many days when my face looks unhealthy no matter how nicely I dress up.
So, this time, I visited a dermatologist with the mindset of really starting to take care of my skin. I initially went just for a consultation, but as I talked about my skin concerns one by one, I could see the direction of care I needed.
Before the procedure, my biggest concerns were the pain and the recovery period, but it was better than I expected. Of course, the experience may vary from person to person, but for me, it was less burdensome than I anticipated.
For a few days after receiving the treatment, I paid close attention to my skin. I used milder products than usual and focused on hydration. As a result, I could feel my skin gradually stabilizing.
What I was most satisfied with was hearing people around me say, “Your skin looks good these days?” haha.
I liked it better because it felt neat and healthy overall, rather than a drastic change.
In the past, I used to think going to the dermatologist was unnecessarily burdensome and difficult, but now I’ve come to view it as a form of self-care.
If there are others out there who, like me, just keep hesitating, try getting a consultation first! You can always make the decision after the consultation.🫶
