Is it effective for treating acne, even on fine bumps on the cheeks?

Lately, I have noticed small, bumpy spots on the inside of my cheeks, so I am looking into acne treatments. They are not red, inflamed, or painful pimples, but when viewed up close, the skin surface feels uneven and appears to have several small granules. At first, I thought it was simply dead skin cells, so I tried using exfoliating products, but I felt my skin was drying out, so I was hesitant to continue using them.

Can I expect effective acne treatment in this case as well? I usually think of acne treatment as being performed on skin with severe inflammation, so I am curious if it is commonly received even in cases like mine where fine bumps persist. I would also like to know if the small comedones on my cheeks need to be extracted, or if they can be improved through sebum and dead skin cell management.

If I am receiving acne treatment for the first time, can I check my current skin condition and select only the necessary treatments?

My skin tends to dry out easily, so rather than getting a strong treatment right away, I would like to manage it slowly with minimal irritation. I am also curious about what I should pay attention to in my daily life to prevent new bumps from recurring.
