Can I expect effective acne treatment without extraction?

I have small, millet-like bumps on my cheeks, so I am looking into acne treatment. However, I am a bit hesitant about extraction, so I am writing to ask for your advice.

My skin tends to turn red easily, so I'm worried that if I accidentally touch even a small blemish, it might leave a mark for several days. Right now, I don't have any severely inflamed acne; it's just fine granules visible on the surface, so I'm not sure if I absolutely need to extract them.

In this case, can I expect effective acne treatment without extraction? I’ve heard that there are various methods to manage sebum and dead skin cells in addition to extraction, so I’m curious about the criteria used to decide on a procedure. I want to confirm this first, as what I thought were just small bumps might actually be a different skin issue.

When receiving acne treatment, is it possible to selectively extract only the areas that require it and handle the rest with other treatments? I would also like to know how long redness or marks might last after extraction. Rather than making my skin perfectly smooth right away, I want to improve it gradually while minimizing irritation to my cheeks.
