I have dry skin and melasma, so how should I treat the occasional acne?
I have naturally dry skin, so it is always on the dry side, but I still get one or two pimples from time to time. I also developed melasma after pregnancy, so I'm actually a bit worried that the acne might leave marks.
I am looking into acne treatments like lasers or extractions, but is it okay to get them on skin with melasma? I am worried that the irritation might cause the melasma to darken or leave a permanent discoloration.
I don't tend to get a lot of acne, so I'm wondering if I need to receive treatments consistently even in this case, or if managing it only when breakouts occur is sufficient. Since I have dry skin, I'm also worried that it might feel tighter after treatment. Please let me know if I can receive a consultation for both melasma and acne at the same time.

When choosing an acne treatment for the first time, how are Quadsay and Capri lasers distinguished?[6]
CommentsRather than comparing the names of the two procedures, it would be best to make a decision after checking the number of current lesions, the degree of inflammation, and dryness based on the season. If this is your first time, it would make the comparison easier to ask about the specific purpose of each procedure, expected irritation, and moisturizer usage guidelines during the consultation.450026.11.01
