Fine lines around the corners of my eyes linger for a long time when I smile. Which consultation would be right for me, Skin Botox or Wrinkle Botox?
Lately, when I look in the mirror after smiling, fine lines running from the outer corners of my eyes toward my temples remain for quite a while. They used to disappear quickly once I relaxed my expression, but as the weather has gotten drier, foundation settles into the wrinkles, making them look even more prominent. Changing my moisturizer hasn't made much of a difference, so I'm considering getting a Botox consultation, but I'm confused about the difference between skin Botox and wrinkle Botox. I asked about my forehead and glabella last time, but I'm writing again because I'm curious about the area around my eyes this time.
For fine lines next to the corners of the eyes, which do patients more frequently consult about: skin Botox or wrinkle Botox?
Is the approach different for wrinkles that appear only when making facial expressions compared to wrinkles that remain even when at rest?
The skin around the eyes is thin, so I'm worried that my facial expressions might look awkward after the procedure. How is this addressed during the consultation?
I'm wondering if it's okay to start in the dry late autumn, and if I need to do moisturizing care as well.
For reference, I attached a photo at the very bottom that looks similar to my eye wrinkles.

- 01CommentsSince wrinkles around the mouth are in an area that moves a lot when speaking or smiling, I imagine you are most concerned about whether your facial expressions will look natural after the procedure. The choice between Botox and fillers depends on the cause of the wrinkles, so I recommend consulting with a doctor to compare recovery times and lasting effects.310026.10.30
