When winter heaters make you itchy, a home care routine is essential.
I think I've been turning up the heater all day, but my skin feels really dry. It's already dry indoors because it's winter, but at night, my skin gets even itchier and more sensitive, and I find myself scratching without realizing it. It's cold, and I just want to curl up in the blankets and eat a tangerine, so going outside is a hassle. So, I've been focusing more on home care. My current routine is to apply a generous amount of moisturizing ampoule after washing my face, then layer on moisturizer several times. I've found that these little home care routines are incredibly helpful in maintaining my skin barrier. Especially in winter, when static electricity is rampant and skin texture can easily become rough, it's crucial to put in the effort, no matter how tired I am. Honestly, sometimes I just want to barely remove my makeup and go straight to bed after work, which is a real hassle. Still, seeing my face flushed with dryness, I've been making a nightly home care plan and sticking to it, and the itchiness has significantly reduced, which is satisfying. It's the end of the year, and you're probably busy with lots of commitments. Do you have your own secret weapon for skin care? If you have any recommendations for products or tips for combating dry skin during the winter, please share them in the comments! I hope you all have a hydrated night.
