As the end of the year approaches, I looked in the mirror and ended up taking out a diet shake.
It's already past 8:52. The temperature outside is sub-zero, making this a particularly cold and dry winter night. I put on my new year-end party outfit and did a bit of a fashion show in front of the mirror... but I was shocked to see how much worse the fit was than I expected, so I'm sitting down to calmly reorganize my routine. I've been eating snacks under the covers because of the cold, and I can see how my overall figure has collapsed. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to be really strict with my home care routine. The first thing I've changed is my dinner menu. Instead of eating a heavy meal after work, I'm going to make it a habit to drink a diet shake. I've tried this before, but I'm so inactive in the winter that I think it'll be really hard to control my weight without a light alternative like a diet shake. The temptation to eat late at night was really strong today, so I slowly sipped a diet shake I had stocked in the pantry to satisfy my hunger. Mixing it with milk or soy milk instead of water keeps me fuller and more filling, so I'm less likely to crave late-night snacks. I'm determined to do this because I feel like I'll regret it in January if I don't. When choosing a diet shake, taste is important, but I always look for one with a high protein content. What do you prefer? It's a lot to take in the dry winter months, trying to stay hydrated and eat right. Still, I'm going to try to manage it seriously so I can look good at year-end gatherings.
