I recommend this holy grail hydration ampoule that completely solves inner dryness, and I'm on my Nth bottle of repurchase.
Lately, no matter how much rich moisturizing cream I slathered on, I was suffering terribly from inner dryness that felt like it was tearing apart after a while. My skin had become the typical oily-dehydrated type—shiny on the surface but parched underneath—so my makeup would cake and dead skin cells would become more prominent. Deciding I couldn't go on like this, I wandered like a nomad, trying all kinds of moisturizing ampoules and serums from Olive Young to department store brands. Finally, I discovered a holy grail product that suits my skin perfectly, and since I'm currently emptying my Nth bottle, I thought I'd just quietly write a recommendation post on the general discussion board.
The product I settled on is a hydration ampoule with low molecular weight hyaluronic acid as its main ingredient. Honestly, I really disliked the sticky finish and makeup-smudging typical of hyaluronic acid products. However, the biggest advantage of this product is that even though it is a water-type formula with a slight viscosity, it absorbs instantly like water the moment it is applied, leaving a fresh, non-sticky finish. To share a personal tip, after washing my face, I dispense a generous amount using the dropper while it is still slightly damp and apply it all over. Then, when I pat it in until it is about 80% absorbed, I apply a thin layer only to the U-zone area where dryness is most severe.
Since hyaluronic acid has the property of attracting moisture, I found that applying it when the skin is slightly damp allows it to absorb much better and creates a synergistic effect. After letting it absorb about twice, moisture fills up deep within the skin, and I can immediately feel it becoming firm and bouncy like a water balloon with my fingertips. If I just apply my usual moisturizing cream on top to create a protective layer to prevent moisture from evaporating, there is absolutely no dryness deep inside until the next morning, and the skin texture feels incredibly soft when I wash my face.
The ingredients are gentle and free of harmful substances like parabens and artificial fragrances, so I could use it with peace of mind. Even when I applied a generous amount on days when my skin was sensitive and red, it didn't sting or irritate at all. The price is also reasonable considering the volume, so stocking up during a sale gives me such a sense of security. For those of you who couldn't resolve inner dryness even after using expensive department store essences, opening up the moisture pathways deep within your skin is truly important, so be sure to add this low-molecular hydration ampoule as the first step of your skincare routine and try layering it twice. I don't think there is a better way to tackle inner dryness. If any of you have your own holy grail products for combating inner dryness or special layering tips, please share them in the comments!
