Finally settled on a mineral sunscreen that doesn't smudge makeup or sting the eyes haha

Anyone interested in beauty knows that to prevent skin aging, you must apply sunscreen 365 days a year, rain or shine, even indoors, right? However, since my skin is quite thin and sensitive, I spent a really long time searching for the perfect sunscreen. When I used organic sunscreens that spread well, my eyes would sting so much—perhaps due to the ingredients—that I had to live with artificial tears all day or constantly tear up. On the other hand, if I tried mild mineral sunscreens, the white cast made my face look like a ghost floating on its own, and the notoriously stiff texture caused makeup to clump and rub off like dead skin cells when applied over it, making them completely unusable. I bought and tried several new products rumored to be moisturizing, but in the end, my oil would explode or I would experience internal dryness after a while, so I never managed to finish a single one until the very bottom. Then, recently, I bought a zinc oxide mineral sunscreen that was raving about in beauty communities, albeit with some skepticism. But I think I've finally found my holy grail, so I'm posting this review out of sheer joy!

First of all, the biggest advantage of this product is its overwhelmingly smooth application. Mineral sunscreens are usually characterized by a stiff and drying texture, but since this has a hydrating lotion formula infused with moisture essence, it spreads very smoothly and transparently without clumping when you lightly rub it in with your fingers. When I first applied a generous amount to my face, I thought it might look a bit white, but if I patted it in with a makeup sponge or fingertips to help it absorb, it finished with a beautiful tone-up effect that corrected my skin tone by about half a shade to make it clearer and brighter, rather than an unbearable white cast.

Thanks to this, when going out lightly with a mask on like these days, I can confidently skip heavy foundation and just apply this tone-up sunscreen thoroughly; it makes my skin look great, drastically reducing my morning preparation time. Even when applied close to the mucous membranes around the eyes, there was absolutely no stinging sensation, and since irritating ingredients are excluded, I experienced no breakouts or itching whatsoever.

Above all, the part I want to rave about the most is its perfect compatibility with makeup! When I apply a generous amount of sunscreen as the last step of my skincare routine, let it absorb for about 5 minutes to ensure it doesn't feel greasy, and then apply a thin layer of cushion foundation, I felt that the rich texture of the sunscreen acts as a primer. Instead of the base makeup caking, it actually adhered to the skin even more tightly. Even after time passed, the oiliness didn't linger on the T-zone, and it wore off beautifully with a semi-matte finish, so there was less clumping when I did touch-ups. If you are a member with combination or sensitive skin who finds reapplying multiple products a hassle in the morning, or who couldn't use chemical sunscreens due to eye irritation or gave up on mineral sunscreens because they felt too dry, you absolutely must test out this moisture-rich texture! I would also appreciate it if you could share in the comments which sunscreen you have settled on!
