My holy grail for inner dryness that survived even under the air conditioner! (My honest review of a toner I bought with my own money)
Lately, I've been working an afternoon part-time job at a cafe every weekend. Since the weather is getting hotter, they keep the air conditioning on full blast all day long. As a result, by the time I get off work, all the moisture has evaporated from my face, leaving it so dry that it feels tight. My foundation also cakes and accentuates dead skin cells, making it a total mess.
Sometimes I get so stressed about my makeup completely melting off that I went on a frantic search for a skincare product that would definitely fix my inner dryness. Since I’m such a coward and don’t yet have the courage to go to a dermatologist for treatments, I decided to try home care first. After frantically searching at Olive Young, the product I bought with my own money is the 'Real Barrier Extreme Essence Toner' pictured here!
Unlike regular watery toners, this has a slightly milky essence texture. After washing my face, if I soak a cotton pad generously and place it on my cheeks like a skin pack for about 5 minutes, it really feels like my skin is fully filled with moisture deep inside, making it firm and bouncy.
Perhaps because it is an essence toner, the hydration lasts a long time. On the days I applied this before going to work, I didn't experience any tightness at all, even in front of strong air conditioning. Best of all, I was amazed that my base makeup stayed beautiful without caking all the way until I met my boyfriend after work!
I’ve already emptied more than half of the bottle, and I’m 200% willing to repurchase it once I finish it! If you, like me, suffer from severe internal dryness due to summer air conditioning, and you’re still hesitant about dermatological procedures, I highly recommend using this toner to build a solid foundation for your skin first!
