Recommended whitening and firming product that I've been using consistently
I was a bit worried because I had heard a lot of stories about retinol being irritating, but it felt milder than I expected. Since I have been using it consistently, I have started to see subtle changes in my skin, so I am satisfied with it.
The first thing I noticed was a change in my skin tone. Rather than feeling like it was getting dramatically whiter, I felt like my skin was becoming clearer in a very subtle, delicate way. When I looked in the mirror in the morning, my face looked less dull and had a soft glow, which just made me feel good. In particular, since I felt like my blemishes were fading little by little, it had the effect of making my entire face look cleaner. Honestly, just having fewer blemishes makes your skin look so much better. Perhaps that is why I’ve been applying much lighter makeup lately, and my skin finish seems to look more natural.
And perhaps because it contains PDRN, I was surprisingly satisfied with the skin's elasticity. Rather than feeling dry and sagging, my skin felt a bit firmer and in better condition. Of course, it doesn't make a dramatic difference in a short period, but since consistent use makes my skin feel healthier overall, I find myself reaching for it again. Thanks to the retinol, fine lines also seemed to look a bit smoother, and I was particularly satisfied that the tiny wrinkles caused by dryness, such as those around the eyes and mouth, appeared less prominent.
However, to be honest, I find it difficult to see dramatic improvement in pores regardless of the product used. This product didn't feel like it drastically shrunk the pores themselves, but it did refine my skin texture and make my skin look better overall. So, I am more satisfied using it for brightening, blemishes, fine lines, and elasticity rather than for pore improvement.
Above all, I think the biggest advantage is that it isn't too irritating, making it great for consistent use. I believe consistency is key with functional products, and since I can use it every day without any burden, I plan to continue using it. If you are concerned about blemishes or skin tone, I think it would be a good idea to give a product combining PDRN and retinol a try.
