My skin was completely breaking out and I was under a lot of stress, but I stopped by Olive Young on my way home from work yesterday and picked up this Aippo Soothing Mask because it caught my eye.
To be honest, I didn't have high expectations because I thought all face masks were pretty much the same. But as soon as I opened the packet, a mint scent wafted up. It wasn't an artificial scent; it had a really cool and refreshing feel to it, so it got a pass right from the first impression.
The cooling sensation when I put it on my face is seriously amazing. It doesn't feel like a stinging sensation, but rather like it pleasantly and smoothly lowers my skin temperature. The redness on my cheeks definitely subsided after I took the mask off. They said it contains aloe, and I really have to give it credit for the soothing effect.
However, it does take a little time for the remaining essence to absorb after using the pack, but once you pat it in with your hands, it leaves a firm, non-sticky finish, so it is perfect for nighttime use.
Honestly, since I have sensitive skin, I always get worried before using a new product, but I’m really enjoying this one because it’s so gentle. If you’re like me and struggle with sudden skin redness or a burning sensation, I think you should give it a try. I’m thinking of stocking up on the whole set next time!
