I stopped using heavy nourishing creams and switched to layering hydrating ampoules multiple times.
In the winter, my face felt like it was going to crack, so I practically lived on oil-heavy nourishing creams. However, when I applied the same routine just because the weather had warmed up a bit, sebum started clumping around my nose and breakouts began to appear by the afternoon. So, I decided to embark on a skincare diet for the changing seasons! I boldly put the heavy creams away in the drawer and instead am layering a very watery, light hydrating ampoule three times: once, after patting it in to absorb, and then applying it again. Building up thin layers of just moisture like this makes my skin feel like it can breathe, and it doesn't feel stuffy at all, which I love. I think it is essential to switch to lighter skin textures when the seasons change.
