Can I resume my daily life immediately after getting Botox?

I've heard that the Botox procedure is simple, but I'm wondering if I can return to my daily life immediately after getting it.
I heard that I should avoid things like exercising or saunas on the day I get Botox, but I'm not sure how careful I need to be.
I'm also wondering if swelling or bruising is noticeable after Botox.
I'm wondering if it's okay to get Botox before an important event.
