Approximately how much would it cost to treat dark spots and blemishes that deepened from sitting by the window?

My office seat happens to be right next to a large floor-to-ceiling window, so I’ve been working under the direct afternoon sun for years. As a result, dark pigmentation has clumped up specifically on my right cheek. Since my face is asymmetrical and patchy, it looks so messy that I think the time has finally come to spend money at a dermatologist.

I haven't been able to decide yet whether to burn it off hard in one go to create scabs, or to break it down with gentle toning over multiple sessions. I'm at a loss as to how generously I should budget for a 10-session package to cleanly remove dark, clumped pigmentation like mine until it's invisible without concealer.

I've heard a lot of people say that really cheap, factory-style clinics just shoot haphazardly and aren't effective, so I want to go to a private clinic that is reasonably thorough. To those of you who have successfully eradicated melasma and blemishes, please let me know the current prices for the laser treatments you paid to regain your clear skin!
