A great tip to soothe skin that's having a flaky party during the change of seasons with just one drop of olive oil haha
My skin condition has been at its absolute worst lately, probably due to the changing seasons, so I wanted to share some of my personal tips for coping with it. It gets chilly in the mornings and evenings, but hot during the day, and with the severe temperature fluctuations, my skin was the first to react. My dead skin cells are flaking white, and while my skin feels like it’s going to crack deep inside, it’s shiny and oily on the outside—I’ve turned into the typical dehydrated, oily skin type. When I do my usual skincare routine in this state, the products just sit on the surface and don't absorb at all.
So, the method I chose is to balance exfoliation with oil moisturization, haha. First, to soothe the flaky dead skin cells, I use gentle toner pads containing PHA instead of harsh scrubs. Right after washing my face, I very gently wipe my entire face along the skin texture with the pad; it softly removes only the unnecessary dead skin cells without any physical irritation. After that, I apply a generous amount of hydration ampoule, and for the final step, I use olive oil—my absolute favorite!
I have some high-quality extra virgin olive oil that I bought to manage my diet, so I decided to give it a try on my skin. If you add just one drop of olive oil to your regular moisturizer, mix it well, and then apply it all over your face by gently pressing it in, it creates an excellent moisturizing barrier that perfectly blocks moisture from evaporating. You might think it would be sticky since it's oil, but adding just one drop actually gives my skin a radiant glow, and I don't feel any dryness all day long. Also, since I heard that inner beauty is important, I've been taking a spoonful of olive oil on an empty stomach every morning, and while I might just be imagining it, it seems to be surprisingly helpful in tackling dryness from deep within. If your skin breaks out every time the seasons change, you really have to try this combination of a hydration ampoule and a single drop of oil!
