사무실 건조하면 진짜 무너져요ㅠ 미스트는 크림이랑 같이 써야 덜 날아가고, 책상용 가습기 하나 두는 것도 도움 되더라구요!
The misery of a job where you sit in front of a monitor for long hours ㅠㅠ
Hello Maypure members, haha. I came here to vent a little because I was so upset after looking in the mirror on my way home from work today. Due to the nature of my job, I spend all day staring intently at dual monitors and sitting in a spot where I get blasted directly by the heater or air conditioner. When I'm doing planning work, I get stressed and find myself frowning without even realizing it, and I end up drinking three or four cups of coffee a day just to stay awake. Maybe that's why, when I looked at my reflection in the subway screen door on my way home today, I saw a faceless zombie standing there, lol. ㅠㅠ
I have naturally dehydrated skin, so by the afternoon, my T-zone gets shiny with oil while my U-zone feels like it’s going to crack from dryness—it’s always tired skin. But today, my cheekbones and the area around my mouth were particularly flushed red, and a few tiny pimples popped up under my chin. When I washed my face, the texture of my skin felt incredibly rough to the touch.
As soon as I got home, I started by thoroughly washing my face with a mild, pH-balanced gel cleanser, gently rolling it over to minimize irritation. I'm writing this now with a cotton pad soaked in chilled toner placed on my cheeks like a skin pack; having even this done does seem to be calming down the heat and redness a little. In the past, even if I stayed up late for days and was exhausted, my skin would recover completely on its own after a good night's sleep. But now that I've entered my 30s, I can definitely feel a decline in my skin's resilience and elasticity, which makes me so sad.
I'm seriously considering going to Maypure this weekend to get some soothing or hydration treatments. How was your skin condition today, everyone? I'm sure there are many of you like me whose skin balance gets messed up due to the dry office environment, so please share any small hydration tips you have to keep your makeup from smudging during the workday! Haha. I tend not to use facial mist because it feels like the moisture deep inside my face evaporates along with it. It's a night where I'm deeply debating whether I should blast my personal humidifier right in front of my face or take more supplements. ㅠㅠ
