Do you care about the expiration date of your cosmetics?

It feels good when I buy cosmetics, haha, but once I start using them, I always end up forgetting to check the expiration date.

Since it's a chemical product, I kind of feel like it might be okay to use.
It seems like there's still plenty of time left, but when the expiration date passes... do you all just throw it away, or do you just use it because it feels like a waste to throw it away?
My skin is a bit sensitive, so I'm afraid it might break out if I use it.

My hands were shaking so much that I couldn't bring myself to throw away the expensive ones.

It's tricky because sensitive skin types react more sensitively.
