Is getting exfoliation at a dermatology clinic definitely effective? Haha.

I'm so stressed because my skin looks so rough lately ㅠㅠㅠ. The areas around my nose and chin feel particularly dry and flaky, making it really stifling when I apply makeup. I've slathered on moisturizer and even tried scrubbing at home, but there wasn't as much of a change as I expected lol. So, I'm considering getting an exfoliation treatment at a dermatologist's office.

I'm curious about the difference between exfoliation done at home and getting it done at a dermatologist's office. I heard that clinics use methods like aqua peels or chemical peels for exfoliation, and I want to know if my skin texture becomes smooth after just one session. I would be so disappointed if I spent money on it only to see minimal results.

I am also worried because I’ve heard that exfoliating too often can thin the skin. My skin is on the sensitive side, so I’m concerned that if it is too irritating, it might actually cause breakouts.

If anyone has received exfoliation care at a dermatology clinic, please let me know how much of a difference it made compared to home care!! I'm also curious if you noticed your makeup applying better.
