Sharing my personal skincare routine: home care and gua sha massage.
While getting treatments at the hospital is good, I believe consistent home care is really important. One thing I have been practicing every night for over a year is 'gua sha massage'! At first, I thought I would give up after a few days because it felt like a hassle, but after experiencing the difference in how quickly my facial swelling went down in the morning, I now can't fall asleep without doing it.
After washing my face, I apply a generous amount of oil and gently massage from the lymph nodes behind my ears to my jawline, and then down to my cheekbones. The key is to use moderate pressure, as applying too much force can cause bruising or irritate the skin. Especially on days when I spend a lot of time on the computer, loosening up the area near my brow bone and temples really relieves eye fatigue and makes my complexion feel brighter. I think consistency is the best care, even without expensive equipment!
