I think consistency is everything when it comes to skincare.
After trying various things for a long time, I came to one conclusion: it is much better to do things consistently, even if simply, rather than managing them in a complicated way.
In the morning, I gently wash my face with a mild cleanser and finish with a moisturizer and sunscreen. In the evening, I make sure to double cleanse, and on days when my skin is sensitive, I tend to finish with only gentle, soothing products. I also make sure to use a face mask about twice a week; even though it may seem simple, I've definitely noticed a difference in my skin texture after doing it consistently.
In the past, I used to switch products whenever they came out that were said to be good, or try out new methods, but I think that actually made my skin more sensitive. I have only now realized that maintaining what works well for a long time is much more important than I thought, rather than adding new things. After all, the skin needs time to stabilize.
