My skin condition today... bombarded by staying up all night T_T
I had back-to-back team project meetings for my major course all week, so I barely managed to fall asleep until past 3 AM every day. I stared intently at my laptop screen and drank nothing but Hot Six and coffee like water to meet the assignment deadline, so when I looked in the mirror this morning, I was truly horrified.
Perhaps because I haven't been getting enough sleep, not only have dark circles under my eyes extending all the way down to my chin, but my entire skin feels parched, as if it has lost all its moisture. Even though I applied the same basic skincare products I normally use, they aren't absorbing at all and are just sitting on the surface. On top of that, I have red, blotchy flushing on my cheeks, making it a total disaster.
I’m planning a date with my boyfriend this weekend to a nice place for the first time in a while, but I honestly don’t have the confidence to apply makeup nicely with my skin in this condition. It’s obvious that as soon as I put on foundation, it will cake and there will be a party of dead skin cells around my nose. ㅠㅠ
Do you happen to have any quick tips for emergency fixing skin that has become completely dry and rough due to lack of sleep, just like mine, in a day or two? Whether it's applying sheet masks one after another, using a modeling mask, or slathering on moisturizer—anything is fine. Please, seniors, share all your know-how on how to prevent makeup from caking on the same day!
