Zero dryness! My personal secret tip for 100% foolproof home modeling pack usage
How is everyone doing their home skincare? I don't have the time or money to go to the dermatologist every time, so I tend to be super obsessed with the skincare I can do at home, haha. Among them, my absolute favorite home care item is the modeling mask! At first, the powder would fly around, I'd mess up the water ratio and it would drip everywhere, and when I peeled it off, the residue would stick to the edges of my face. I was so annoyed I almost threw it all away ㅠㅠ. But after researching on YouTube and beauty communities, I've now acquired skills that rival those of a salon director, so I thought I'd share some of my secret tips, haha.
First of all, preparing the base is the most important step before mixing and applying the modeling pack! You absolutely must not apply it directly to a bare face. Instead, thoroughly refine your skin texture with an exfoliating pad, and then generously apply a much larger amount of highly concentrated ampoule all over your face than you normally use. I usually layer about three hydrating or soothing ampoules, such as hyaluronic acid or centella extract ampoules. You need to apply enough to make your face glow before putting on the pack so that the active ingredients don't evaporate into the air and instead penetrate deep into the skin. Also, when mixing the pack, if you use a soothing skin toner that has been chilled in the refrigerator instead of water, the cooling effect is truly doubled or tripled!
Adjust the consistency to be slightly thicker than mayonnaise, then use a spatula to apply a thick layer from the inside of your face outwards. You need to apply it especially thickly to the edges so that the mask peels off cleanly in one go later. The satisfaction of peeling it off from bottom to top after it has completely dried is truly indescribable! After removing the mask, your skin temperature drops significantly, redness subsides completely, and you can visibly see your enlarged pores tightening, which is incredibly satisfying. Gently wipe away any remaining residue with a cotton pad soaked in toner and finish with a moisturizer; the way your base makeup applies the next day is a whole new level of satisfaction. Even if it feels a bit of a hassle at first, once you get hooked on modeling masks, you will never be able to stop using them. You definitely have to give it a try!!
