Attention, dehydrated oily skin! The ultimate 3-skin layering tip to properly tackle inner dryness.
As summer approaches, I imagine there are many of you with combination skin—oily on the surface but incredibly dry underneath. Every year around this time, my oil would explode while my skin remained dry, causing my makeup to flake off and making a total mess. However, I have finally settled on a super simple home care routine of my own, which I would like to share.
The key is the 3-skin layering technique performed solely with your hands, without cotton pads. First, immediately after cleansing, while your skin is still slightly damp, dispense a very light, water-type toner into your hands and gently pat it onto your entire face to aid absorption. It is important to pat gently rather than rub. Then, instead of moving on to the next step immediately, repeat the same process two more times once your skin has fully absorbed the toner. By layering your skin just three times like this, you can feel moisture filling deep within your skin, even without using expensive ampoules or face masks. If you simply form a protective barrier with a moisturizing cream at the end, your skin stays hydrated all day long without any inner dryness.
This is a method you can try right away using a toner you already have at home without spending a lot of money, so if you are struggling with inner dryness, be sure to give it a try tonight. I happen to be participating in the Skin Generation Fairy Challenge in the community right now, so I’ve put together my own secret tips. I hope they are helpful. Wishing everyone beautiful skin.
