I think doing a face mask every day might actually be harmful to the skin.
I heard that using a face mask every day can actually be harmful to the skin. I see so many reviews from celebrities and people with great skin saying they maintain glowing complexions by doing a mask daily to stay fully hydrated, so I naturally assumed doing it every day would be unconditionally good for me. However, I’ve heard from others that applying a mask daily can actually weaken the skin's protective barrier and make it more sensitive. In particular, I've heard that using highly nourishing or functional masks every day can cause breakouts or clogged pores due to over-nutrienting. My skin is already very sensitive because of the weather lately, so I desperately need hydration, but I'm scared that even the irritation of applying a mask daily might be detrimental. Is there anyone among you who has personally practiced doing a mask every day for a long time? I really want to hear some real-life reviews.
