Does not changing your pillowcase often really cause acne on your face?
I was getting stressed because small, red blemishes kept popping up specifically around my cheeks and chin, even though I was applying my basic skincare and cleansing thoroughly just like usual. Then I heard that it might be due to my pillowcase—something I never even considered. I have a habit of burying my face in the pillow or sleeping on my side, and I heard that if you don't change your pillowcase often, it becomes a complete breeding ground for germs.
Actually, washing or changing pillowcases every day is usually more of a hassle than you might think. Since they look white and clean on the outside, I’ve been washing them about once or twice a week or once every two weeks. But I was surprised to read that sweat, saliva, hair oil, and dead skin cells accumulate on the pillow while you sleep, clogging pores and causing acne.
Ah, you really have to be diligent at everything.
