Have you stopped eating flour or sweet foods for your skin?
I'm one of those people stressed out because of skin troubles ㅠㅠ I haven't really changed my cosmetics, so I was thinking hard about why this is happening, and I realized my eating habits have completely gone wrong recently. I've always been a bread lover and really love flour-based foods, but lately, because I was stressed, I've been living on sweet cakes, chocolate, and even tteokbokki every single day. And just like that, red acne suddenly broke out all over my chin and cheeks.
I heard that eating a lot of flour-based foods or sweets causes your blood sugar to spike suddenly, stimulating insulin secretion. This, in turn, stimulates the sebaceous glands to produce a massive amount of oil. On top of that, it easily triggers inflammatory reactions in the body, which I've heard makes skin problems worse. I know it in my head, but I don't know why it's so hard to cut down on these worldly temptations.
I really think I need to cut down on flour and sugary desserts now, drink plenty of water, and take better care of my skin.
