My skin is a mess right before that time of the month.
As my period approaches without fail, my skin is sending the first signals. My face, which is usually just dry, becomes incredibly oily by the afternoon, and my pores feel like they have doubled in size. Most of all, three large, cystic pimples have popped up around my chin, and they hurt so much that I cry just from the slightest touch while washing my face. Even though I know it is due to hormones, the depression I feel every time I look in the mirror is severe enough to be easily misunderstood. When I try to cover them with makeup using concealer, they only stand out more and get worse, so today I just went to work wearing only sunscreen. They should subside naturally in a few days, but until then, I must endure it by absolutely refraining from touching them with my hands to prevent scarring, and by applying soothing patches or changing them frequently.
