I think I've been diligently taking care of my facial skin, but I've been neglecting my scalp more than I thought I would. Recently, I've been under a lot of stress because my hair starts itching immediately after washing and white flakes appear. When I went to the hair salon, they told me that my scalp barrier is quite weakened.
So, that day, I stopped using my regular shampoo and started home care by purchasing a tea tree scalp pack and a dedicated serum that are mildly acidic and contain scalp-soothing ingredients. When washing my hair, I shampooed while massaging it with my fingertips, and after towel-drying, I applied the scalp serum thoroughly and dried it completely with cool air.
After managing it like this for exactly two weeks, the itching disappeared completely like magic, and the redness on my scalp subsided significantly. If you, like me, experience scalp irritation every time the seasons change, please make sure to start by changing your shampooing method and the air temperature when drying your hair!
