I rested well and got enough sleep during the holidays, so I am really satisfied with my skin condition these days.
Usually, my skin tends to get dry and red quickly even with just a little fatigue, but perhaps because I got a proper rest this time for the first time in a while, my skin tone looked much clearer and my makeup went on smoothly without caking. In particular, when I looked in the mirror this morning, seeing how smooth my skin texture looked really lifted my spirits.
My top priority during this holiday was minimizing skin irritation as much as possible. I kept my skincare routine simpler than usual and focused lightly on hydration. Instead of applying a lot of different products, managing it with just a soothing cream and a hydrating mask actually made my skin feel more comfortable. Not wearing makeup was also a big factor, as I stayed home.
And I think getting enough sleep and drinking plenty of water was more effective than I expected. Since I stopped staying up late and slept consistently, I felt less redness and reduced darkening on my skin. I also cut down on spicy foods and late-night snacks during the holidays, so I hardly had any breakouts. It was a holiday that reminded me once again that, unless there are major skin issues, basic lifestyle habits are the most important for the skin, rather than expensive treatments.
