I started laser hair removal to get ready for this summer, and it's so convenient haha.
1. Visited Branch: "Maypure Incheon Gyeyang Branch"
Every summer, the thing that stressed me out the most was managing my body hair. Plucking with tweezers felt like my neck was going to fall off and hurt my eyes so much. I hated the prickly stubble left behind when razoring, and it often irritated my skin, causing redness or folliculitis. I even tried getting waxing done at a salon, but managing ingrown hairs was such a hassle, and the cost was quite steep, so I ended up just going about my daily routine of roughly shaving at home.
Then, a friend bragged that she had shaved everything off at a clinic a few years ago and now has no worries about wearing sleeveless tops or shorts in the summer. That made me firmly resolve to start laser hair removal treatments before it was too late, haha. Since hair removal is usually considered too late if started in the summer due to the hair growth cycle, I visited Maypure with the mindset of getting ready in advance before spring arrived. I swallowed my shyness to get a consultation, but I liked it because the staff were so kind and the facilities were clean, haha.
I decided to get the treatment on my underarms and calves. At first, I was super nervous lying on the bed, worried it might be too hot or painful. But perhaps because the equipment has a cooling function, cold air just blew out quickly, causing only a very slight stinging sensation. It really didn't hurt at all, and it was over in a flash!
I've had about my third session now, and it's a whole new world!! Before, hairs would grow back in tiny stubs like pencil lead after just two days, but now they grow incredibly slowly and have become as thin as downy fluff. ㅠㅠ My quality of life has skyrocketed to the point where I regret not doing this sooner. Once I get all the remaining sessions done thoroughly, I think I'll be able to confidently wear sleeveless tops this summer! If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend starting laser hair removal as soon as possible. Haha. It really is worth every penny!
