Let's get ready in advance before it gets hot! I started laser hair removal on my calves.

Hello~ I wish only my personality were easygoing, but I’m one of those unfairly treated people who has just too much body hair ㅠㅠ Every summer when I wear shorts, I used to do self-care at home every few days using sharp razors or harsh hair removal creams. However, this caused severe skin irritation that left my skin turning bright red, and worst of all, after just 2 or 3 days, black bumps would pop up like thick men's beards, which was incredibly stressful. On top of that, because I couldn't manage my exfoliation properly, I developed a ton of ingrown hairs. Seeing my legs turn patchy like keratosis pilaris, I decided I couldn't go on like this anymore and firmly made up my mind to get laser hair removal!!
I heard that due to the hair growth cycle, you usually need to receive laser hair removal consistently at one-month intervals for at least five sessions to see results. So, I figured the timing would be perfect if I started preparing now before it gets too hot so I could confidently wear shorts and skirts in the sweltering summer heat, haha. When I went to the clinic for a consultation, I saw that there was a huge variety of hair removal equipment, but I chose the device that is said to be less painful because it has a well-designed cooling system that blows air.
To be honest, I went in really nervous, worried it would be painful since the principle involves burning the hair follicles. But guess what? With cold air continuously blowing and the laser flashing, it didn't feel hot or painful; it was just cold and a slight stinging sensation, like being snapped by a rubber band. Haha. It was much less painful than upper lip hair removal. Plus, even though the area to be laser-treated on my calves was quite large, the doctor was so fast that the procedure time was incredibly short! I just lay on the bed looking at the ceiling for a moment, and it was over in less than 10 minutes. The treatment time is so short that it's perfect for busy office workers to stop by during their lunch break or on their way home, so there is absolutely no pressure at all.
It has been about a week since my first session. Of course, there haven't been any dramatic changes yet, like hair stopping completely, but I have a hunch that the new hair growing in seems a bit thinner and less firm. Haha. If I get laser hair removal consistently for four more sessions, I should be able to confidently walk around with soft, bare legs this summer, right? I'm already so excited thinking about going to the water park!!
