I started laser hair removal in advance before summer comes haha.
📌 1. Visited Branch: "Maypure Mokdong Branch"
As the weather gradually warms up and the time to wear short sleeves approaches, I have been feeling quite anxious lately. I tend to have particularly thick and abundant hair on my arms and legs, so hair removal has always been the biggest headache of my daily life during the summer. Shaving with a razor at home every day irritated my skin, causing redness, and I even experienced side effects like bumpy skin due to ingrown hairs, making me feel embarrassed to show my legs. I tried waxing as well, but it was too painful and quite expensive, so I visited a dermatologist determined to achieve permanent results this time.
I booked an appointment at the Maypure Mokdong branch near my home and visited. The interior was very tidy and the staff were all friendly, so my first impression was excellent. I listened to the explanation of the laser hair removal process in the consultation room. I was told that I need to receive treatments consistently, once a month for at least five sessions aligned with the hair growth cycle, for the hair to become thinner and noticeably reduced. They advised that starting now, before summer arrives, is the perfect time, so I happily paid for the calf and underarm package.
I was told to shave cleanly at home before the procedure, so I shaved thoroughly the day before. When I lay down on the treatment bed, it was incredibly comfortable because the device itself emitted cold air rather than applying cooling gel. It stung slightly when passing over areas with thick hair, like being tapped with a rubber band, but thanks to the cooling system, the heat on my skin dissipated quickly, and it wasn't very painful. What surprised me most was that the procedure itself was so short; excluding the time to change clothes, it didn't seem to take even 10 minutes.
I really loved that the treatment time was short enough to squeeze into my busy schedule without any burden. I’ve already completed my second session at the Mokdong branch, and I’ve noticed a significant slowdown in hair growth. The new hairs are growing in thin, downy strands, so the hassle of having to shave every day has completely disappeared. Since there is less skin irritation, my legs feel much softer, so I am extremely satisfied. I’m already excited because I think I’ll be able to confidently wear shorts this summer. If you are still struggling with razors, I highly recommend starting this as soon as possible!
