Should I take a break from exfoliation or functional cosmetics for a few days before getting laser treatment?
I suddenly became curious about my usual skincare routine before booking a laser appointment haha.
I often use exfoliating products when my skin feels rough, and I also tend to use vitamin-based products or functional products that are slightly irritating.
However, I'm not sure if I can use my skin as usual right up until I get the laser treatment, or if it would be better to rest for a few days to make my skin as comfortable as possible before going.
I'm worried that if I exfoliate the day before and get a laser treatment the next day, my skin might become too sensitive.
When I go for my first laser treatment, would it be a good idea to mention the cosmetics I usually use or the home care I recently did during the consultation?
My skin isn't particularly sensitive, but if I use exfoliating products frequently, there are days when it stings.
In that case, I am also wondering if I need to adjust the laser intensity or the treatment date.
Also, on the day before the procedure, would it be better to just moisturize simply without bothering with things like face masks or scrubs?
I actually have a habit of doing all sorts of things before important treatments because I feel like I need to make my skin cleaner, haha. But before a laser treatment, I'm wondering if it's better to do the opposite and avoid touching my skin as much as possible.
I've noticed that many people take a break from functional products for a few days after laser treatment, so I'm curious if you take similar precautions beforehand.
I also want to know when you started using the product you usually use again.
While the laser's effectiveness is important to me, I don't want my skin to become unnecessarily sensitive, so I want to understand the proper pre- and post-treatment care before I start.
For those of you who have consistently received laser treatments, do you have a specific skincare routine you follow the day before or on the day of your appointment?
I think there might actually be some people who found it most comfortable not to do anything.
Please share your experiences if there are any treatments or cosmetics that are best to avoid beforehand for someone receiving them for the first time.

If you are worried about getting treatments too frequently, ask them to set the interval based on your skin type during the consultation, and also inquire at which session you want to check your progress. They say it is really important to be meticulous about sun protection after the procedure!980026.10.22
