It looks like I have a mix of melasma and blemishes. How should I choose the type of laser?
Lately, when I look closely at the skin, it seems like the pigmentation isn't all the same, so the more I look into lasers, the more confused I get.
Some looked distinct like small dots, while others had blurry, spread-out boundaries, so I just assumed they were all blemishes. However, after looking it up, I found out that melasma and blemishes can require different care methods.
At first, I thought I just needed to get a laser treatment for the blemishes, but I got scared after reading that they could actually get darker if I messed with them incorrectly.
In this case, wouldn't it be better to get my skin condition checked first rather than just choosing a laser?
My goal is overall clear and even-looking skin, not to completely get rid of just one specific pigmentation haha.
I am curious whether areas resembling melasma and small blemishes are treated with a single laser or if the approach is adjusted differently depending on the condition.
Also, is it difficult for the average person to distinguish the type of pigment just by looking in the mirror?
Even when comparing photos, I couldn't judge because it looks darker depending on the lighting, and on some days it seems almost invisible.
I am also curious if they examine this area directly and explain what kind of pigment it is during the laser consultation.
I would also like to know if it is possible to manage it by monitoring the skin's reaction little by little, rather than trying to remove it aggressively from the start.
I feel uncomfortable with my skin being suddenly irritated too much, so it's okay for me to receive it slowly over several sessions.
Has anyone else, like me, gotten a laser consultation first because they were unsure if it was melasma or blemishes?
I'm curious if the actual treatment recommended was different from what I initially expected, and I'd also like to know if your skin tone looked more even after a few sessions.
Please share your experience on how you started when it seemed like there were several types of pigments mixed together.

- 01CommentsI heard that the interval for Pico Toning is determined differently depending on your skin condition and the type of pigmentation. If you are worried about getting treatments too frequently, ask them to set the interval based on your skin type during the consultation, and also inquire at which session you want to check your progress. They say it is really important to be meticulous about sun protection after the procedure!1510026.10.22

- 03CommentsI see that you are looking into my mother's skin concerns on her behalf. Since even blemishes that look similar on the surface need to be identified as specific types first, I am curious about your consultation criteria. Although I have no experience with procedures, would it be helpful to discuss my usual sun protection habits and available schedule during the consultation?420026.10.08
