Is the melasma treatment effective for cheek pigmentation that shows through even with makeup?

In the past, even when I applied cushion foundation lightly, the skin tone around my cheeks appeared relatively even. However, lately, even when I wear makeup, certain areas seem to show through a bit darkly, so I am looking into melasma treatment.

Applying a thick layer of base would cover it up to some extent, but since I usually prefer natural makeup, using concealer every time is a hassle.

I thought it would be nice if the skin itself looked a little more even.

Can I expect melasma treatment to be effective even on this level of pigmentation?

I am wondering if melasma treatment is only necessary to manage pigmentation that has already darkened, or if it is worth consulting even when it appears relatively light. Rather than expecting dramatic changes from the start, I think I would be satisfied if the difference in skin tone were less noticeable even when applying light makeup.

I would like to know if the pigmentation fades immediately after melasma treatment, or if I need to check for changes after a certain period of time. I am also curious about when I can wear makeup after the procedure and whether there is a possibility that the pigmented areas may temporarily appear darker.
