I'm curious about the effectiveness and cost of melasma treatment. Since I work full-time, I'm also worried about downtime.

Hello, I am a 33-year-old office worker. Since last summer, light brown spots have started spreading widely on the upper sides of both my cheeks. Lately, they show through even when I apply foundation twice, so it stresses me out every morning. I have consistently used whitening ampoules and sunscreen, but since there hasn't been much change, I am considering getting a consultation for melasma treatment.

My biggest question is about at which session the effects of melasma treatment are usually felt. I know it doesn't fade drastically in a single session, but I want to know roughly how many sessions are needed to reach a level where it can be covered with makeup. I am also curious about the level of stinging sensation during the laser treatment and the duration of a single session.

I often work overtime on weekdays, so I can only spare time after work or on Saturday mornings. I am worried about whether the procedure will be noticeable if I go to work the very next day, and whether redness or scabs will form. I am also unsure whether it is better to pay per session or as a bundle.

If anyone has received treatment for melasma, please share any advice you gave regarding the care you took or how you tried to prevent recurrence. I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences so I can use them as a reference when I go for my consultation!
