How thoroughly do you check the ingredients of topical products before a blemish treatment procedure?

I have blemishes and redness on my cheekbones, so I would like to check which products to avoid before undergoing blemish treatment. If I use exfoliating products or functional cosmetics, I would like to know if simply stating the product name is sufficient, or if I also need to prepare the ingredient list.

During consultations for blemish treatment, do you differentiate between prescription medications and over-the-counter cosmetics? If any products need to be discontinued, I would like to be informed of the reason and duration for each. I would like to know what items to check with the medical staff first before stopping products on my own.

I would also like to ask if the instructions vary depending on the area and frequency of use, even if the ingredients are the same. I am curious whether the timing for resuming use after blemish treatment is determined by a specific date or by observing skin reactions such as redness or stinging. Please let me know whether I should prepare the packaging or the ingredient list when bringing the product.
