The pain was just like a light crackling static, so I was able to get the treatment without any issues, even without numbing cream. I would have been embarrassed going to work if the redness lingered, but with this, my face only got slightly red after the treatment. It subsided quickly after applying a soothing pack, so I was able to apply cushion foundation right away and go about my daily life. It was perfect for a busy day.
