I've only been doing self-hair removal, but my skin keeps getting irritated, so I'm thinking of trying laser hair removal.

I have been doing self-hair removal, but my skin keeps getting irritated and feels like it is becoming discolored, so I am planning to try laser hair removal before it is too late. From what I’ve heard from others, it makes the skin much smoother than waxing and the results last longer, so it is the number one treatment in terms of satisfaction.

But since my skin is a bit sensitive, I'm actually a little worried that it might burn or cause a severe breakout of folliculitis after the procedure. I'm also hesitating because I'm afraid it might just irritate my skin and the hair will grow back just as it is.

For those of you who have actually received regular laser hair removal, does the amount of hair really decrease enough to be close to permanent removal? I’d like to know how often I should get treatments for the best results, and if there are any tips for post-treatment care to prevent folliculitis. Please also let me know if there are any points I should check when visiting a laser hair removal clinic!
