My skin is a typical dehydrated oily type.
My skin is typically dehydrated oily, but perhaps due to the recent weather, the surface is shiny with oil while the inside feels tight and dry, as if it's about to tear. My face feels so tight after washing it that applying a heavy cream just sits on the surface without resolving the inner dryness at all. Furthermore, because the oil and moisture balance is off, my skin barrier seems to be damaged; I've even started getting tiny bumps, and my skin texture has become rough and messy.
My skin is dry on the inside but oily on the outside, so my makeup cakes or falls apart quickly, which is really stressful every time I look in the mirror. I’ve switched all my basic skincare products to a hydrating line and tried everything from the 7-skin method to face masks, but nothing works.
When the oil-moisture balance is this disrupted, would it be faster to seek help from a dermatologist rather than doing home care?
If anyone has gone through similar struggles and successfully restored their oil-moisture balance to escape inner dryness, please share your advice.
