My skin is really uneven and rough. Will it become smooth if I get collagen regeneration injections?

 Every time I look in the mirror, I can see my skin looking just like a photo—big pores in the butterfly zone, uneven texture, and fine lines forming all over my face. When I apply makeup, it doesn't go on smoothly; instead, it cakes off dry and flaky, making me look really old and messy. I'm seriously looking into regenerative injections at a dermatology clinic that claim to stimulate collagen production deep within the skin to fill in fine lines and sunken areas. If someone like me, with extremely rough texture and lack of elasticity, gets this treatment, will my skin really plump up like a peeled egg? I know I'll get dense needle marks all over my face, so I'm really curious how long the embossing or bruising will last.
