What treatment is effective for shrinking enlarged facial pores?
I am considering dermatological treatment because the pores around my nose and butterfly zone are usually quite noticeable. On days when my skin is oily, the pores stand out even more, and I am stressed because even when I apply makeup, it feels like it gets stuck in the pores after a while. In the past, I was only concerned about the area around my nose, but lately, perhaps due to a loss of skin elasticity, it feels like the pores on my entire face have been gradually widening.
I looked into pore-shrinking treatments, but there are so many types—such as Fraxel, PicoFraxel, Potenza, and radiofrequency—that I am not sure which one to choose. I am also curious if the treatment methods differ for pores enlarged by sebum and those sagging due to decreased skin elasticity.
I would also like to know if a pore treatment is effective after just one session, or if it typically takes several sessions to see noticeable improvement. I am curious about the downtime, such as redness, peeling, or scabbing, and whether the procedure is suitable for skin prone to occasional breakouts. I want to minimize pores as naturally as possible while also improving my skin texture, so I would appreciate a recommendation on which treatment would be suitable for me.
