I'm in my late 30s; what should I check first at home for internal dryness and elasticity?
I am a 37-year-old office worker who is experiencing both internal dryness and loss of elasticity at the same time as the weather gets colder. I have never had any dermatological procedures before, so before blindly buying new cosmetics or booking a treatment, I would like to review my current home care habits first.
When my skin is severely dry from within, should I start by layering multiple moisturizers, or would it be more effective to change my cleansing habits or environmental factors like office humidity? I'm confused about whether it's better to adjust the order or frequency of application rather than just blindly reapplying products. By the way, how many days do you usually observe the results when replacing or adjusting your basic skincare products one by one?
I am also curious about the extent of elasticity improvement I can expect just from proper moisturizing. I would also like to know if there is a standard at which point I should consult a dermatologist.
I am planning to go for my first consultation at a place like Maypure soon. Would it be helpful to prepare a list of the products I usually use, how often I wash my face, and the times of the day when my skin is particularly dry? I would appreciate it if those who have gone through similar struggles could share some realistic tips!
