I just got an exfoliation treatment! I received it to refine my skin texture.
Lately, I've felt like my makeup just isn't applying well. Even when I apply a thin layer of base, it keeps caking, and I was really stressed because the dry skin around my nose and mouth was so noticeable. I thought I was moisturizing quite diligently, so I wondered why this was happening.
I tried using exfoliating pads and moisturizing masks at home, but honestly, the effects felt very temporary. Even though it looked okay right away, my skin texture felt rough again after a few days, so I realized there was a limit to how effective it could be.
So, I recently visited a dermatologist to get an exfoliation treatment. During the consultation, I mentioned that I was concerned about my skin texture, and after checking my current condition, they recommended a treatment focused on exfoliation.
The procedure itself wasn't as irritating as I expected. I was worried it would sting or hurt, but overall, I was able to receive it comfortably. It felt like they were taking care of me throughout the session, so it actually felt like a healing experience.
I looked in the mirror after it was over and noticed my skin felt a bit more refined. Of course, it’s not like there’s a huge change after just one session, but I was satisfied because the texture felt slightly softer to the touch.
Since coming home, I've been avoiding irritating products as much as possible and focusing on moisturizing. I'm realizing again how important skin texture care really is haha. I'm most envious of skin that holds makeup well.
