After worrying about my melasma, I finally went to a dermatologist to get treatment.
I previously posted saying I wasn't sure if it was melasma or blemishes, and after worrying about it alone, I finally decided to go to a dermatologist to get it checked out in person.
After carefully examining my skin condition during the consultation, the doctor recommended trying Lara Peel first, noting that the pigmentation was located in the shallow layers. They explained that it is less irritating than a laser and allows for care while preserving the skin barrier, so I decided to give it a try. The procedure itself was much milder than I expected. Rather than feeling any stinging or heat, it felt more like the surface of my skin was being smoothed out.
My skin felt a bit sensitive after the procedure, but it stabilized quickly after a day, and a few days later, I could feel that the texture was smoother than before. It also seemed like the pigmentation had faded just a tiny bit. While it is difficult to expect dramatic changes after just one session, I plan to continue getting it done regularly because it is gentle on the skin.
