Review of LDM Waterdrop Lifting, a treatment I always get the day before an important appointment (It makes a difference how my makeup applies lol)
Hello! It's been a while since I posted on the Free Board, haha. I have a really important family event next weekend, so on my way home from work yesterday, I stopped by my regular dermatologist to get an LDM Waterdrop Lifting treatment. As those of you who have had a lot of dermatological procedures know, lasers and booster treatments have downtime, so it can be a burden to get them right before an important event ㅠㅠ. That is when LDM is the treatment I always use like a cheat code.
LDM is a treatment that uses high-density ultrasound to draw moisture up to the dermis and strengthen the skin barrier. Although it has "lifting" in the name, rather than dramatic tightening effects, it is specialized in making the skin moist and firm, just like its name 'water droplet' suggests. I have thin skin that turns red easily, but the biggest advantage of LDM is that I can receive it with peace of mind because there is absolutely no irritation or pain. You just lie on the bed, they generously apply cold ultrasound gel to your face, and massage it with a warm machine; nine out of ten people fall asleep during this treatment. It is so healing.
The procedure takes about 15 to 20 minutes, and they even apply a soothing mask right after it's finished. When I look in the mirror, my face truly has a subtle glow, just like a peeled egg. The redness has completely subsided, and you can visibly see that my skin tone has become clearer. However, the true value of LDM shows not right after the treatment, but when I apply makeup the next morning. Since the skin itself is firm and retains moisture, the foundation doesn't sit on the surface but adheres perfectly—that feeling is truly moving. My makeup, which usually used to crack by the afternoon due to inner dryness, now lasts for a very long time without darkening.
Even after just one session, my skin is instantly hydrated, so I think it's perfect for getting the day before an important appointment, wedding photoshoot, or job interview. The price isn't too burdensome compared to other laser treatments, so I often go back for it whenever my skin breaks out or feels extremely dry—it feels just like getting an IV drip haha. If you want a painless, natural-looking skin that gives you that bare-faced, healthy glow, you should definitely give LDM a try!! Also, if you know of any other gentle skin boosters or treatment programs that work well in synergy with LDM, I would appreciate your recommendations haha.
