I keep getting pimples on my hairline. What should I do?

I am writing to inquire because small pimples keep popping up around my hairline lately. They don't just appear and disappear; they repeatedly spring up in similar spots. Sometimes they turn red and hurt to the touch. Since I tend to wear my hair down, I wondered if it might be due to my hair or hair products, so I have been paying attention to my shampoo and conditioner, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Squeezing them with my fingers seems to help for a moment before they pop back and leave marks, so I am trying to avoid touching them as much as possible now. Can I receive separate treatment for these hairline pimples at a dermatology clinic? I am also curious whether it is simple acne or another issue like folliculitis. I would like to know the causes of these recurring hairline pimples and what kind of treatment is typically performed at a clinic.
