Maintaining room humidity is the number one priority in skincare, even more important than cosmetics.
When people say their skin is dry, they usually just think about applying more product to their face, but for me, the most important thing in my seasonal routine is changing the 'environment.' No matter how much expensive, high-quality moisturizing cream you slather on, if the air in the room is as dry as a desert, your skin will lose all its moisture to the air. That is why, when spring and autumn arrive, I turn on a humidifier at full blast right next to my bed while I sleep. On days when cleaning the humidifier is a hassle, I make sure to hang two or three wet towels on a hanger before I go to sleep. Just maintaining the room's humidity at over 50% like this miraculously cuts the tightness in my face by half the next morning. I think the true finishing touch of skincare is humidity, haha.
